Tencent Meeting is the first SaaS video conferencing product to obtain the SOC 2 Type 2 certification, underscoring it’s commitment and track record of protecting the personal data of its users following an auditor’s report that examined the service’s security, availability and confidentiality.
What is SOC Audit?
System and Organization Controls (SOC) are comprised of software and technology infrastructure used by businesses to ensure data is secure and risk of data leak is minimized. To achieve the SOC 2 Type 2 certification, Tencent Meeting was audited by a certified, independent third-party agency in accordance with SSAE NO. 18 of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
SOC 2 Type 2 is one of the most rigorous security certifications in the industry and is widely recognized in cloud computing. An SOC 2 audit focuses on an organization’s security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
Tencent Meeting earned the certification on its first audit, demonstrating its leading capabilities in data security. Tencent Meeting has also obtained the Grade III Certification on Protection of Information Security from the Ministry of Public Security in China – the highest level accreditation for non-bank organizations in the country. It also has the “Trusted Cloud” enterprise-level SaaS certification, which is the only authoritative certification system on cloud computing in China and widely recognized around the world.
Tencent Meeting is a real-time, multiparty video conferencing service that puts user privacy and data security at is core.
