John joined Tencent in 2004 as Financial Controller. In 2008, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in May 2012. Prior to joining Tencent, John worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He received a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting from Curtin University and an EMBA degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a Fellow of the CPA Australia, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
